Fertility Preservation
Preserving your fertility involves freezing your eggs, sperm, embryos or reproductive tissue so that you can hopefully have a biological family in the future. At Fiona Fertility we offer fertility preservation if you are about to start cancer treatment which may cause infertility, a member of the Armed Forces before deployment, transgender or non-binary person before starting hormone therapy or reconstructive surgery or simply not ready for a family.

Surrogacy
Surrogacy is when a woman carries and gives birth to a baby for another person or couple. This is a solution for women who do not have a uterus to carry a child after having a hysterectomy, or due to absence or malformation of the womb, have a uterus but cannot carry a child due to recurrent pregnancy loss or implantation.

IUI
IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is a procedure in which sperm is directly transferred into the uterus. This can be in a natural cycle with no medications but usually the ovaries are hormonally stimulated with oral or injectable medications to improve the chance of success. IUI is less expensive and less invasive than IVF. It also has lower success rates per cycle than IVF so you may need to try several times. IUI may be recommended for single women, female same sex couples, couples who find it difficult to have vaginal intercourse, conditions such as HIV positive males to reduce risk of passing on the disease. IUI is not likely to work if you have severe fertility problems.
-
HyCoSy
A HyCoSy scan is a short procedure to detect whether the fallopian tubes are damaged or blocked. It is sometimes called a Tubal Patency Test or a Dye Test and can be a substitute for a HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) or Laparoscopy and Dye. A small thin catheter is passed through the cervix into the uterus and ultrasound contrast medium is passed through the fallopian tubes. The progress of the fluid can be monitored by ultrasound and any blockages or abnormalities can be detected.
